How can we explain and reduce the social inequalities in mathematics observed in French schools? How can we make sense of data analysis and develop students' critical thinking skills?

La convergence of mathematics and economic and social sciences was at the heart of the continuing training course held in The Hague on 23 and 24 January. Hosted by Hervé Antoine EF2D Mathematics in ZECO, Sébastien Caillot EF2D Mathematics in ZENOS and Frédérique Houseaux EF2D SES en ZENOS brought together maths and SES teachers based in the two ZECO and ZENOS zones.
Thank you to all the colleagues who took part for their commitment and enthusiasm in helping students learn.
I would also like to thank the two IRFs for their excellent cooperation and the Lycée Français Vincent Van Gogh in The Hague for hosting it in excellent material and human conditions.
