Le French School of Warsaw was delighted to host the first final of the Little reading champions across the Central and Eastern Europe Zone on 13 March.
The Little Champions of Reading game is designed for all CM1 and CM2 pupils in France and Europe.
To take part, they are invited to read aloud a text of their choice for three minutes.
12 establishments of the ZECO, i.e. 42 classes and 952 students took part in the 2023-2024 event. There were only around twenty of them left in Warsaw for the zone final. The performances were all of a high standard, the students having prepared hard and well. The jury made its choice and 4 students (two girls and two boys) will have the honour of competing in the inter-zonal final in a few weeks' time.
Only one will be able to read his text on the stage of the Comédie-Française in Parisin June.
A big well done to Edouard of the Lycée français Marie Curie de Zürich, Luma of the Lycée français de Vienna, Maxime of the De Gaulle-Adenauer School in Bonn and Valentine of the Lycée français René Goscinny de Warsaw !
