In the middle Press and Media Week in Schoolsthe Lycée français de Vienne hosted the Implementing media and information education (MIE) in cycles 2 and 3.

In this age of mass media and digital networks, certain skills need to be developed from Cycle 2 onwards to train people to be informed, educated, sensitive and critical thinkers in an "information and communication society".
The IME therefore contributes to all school-based learning as much as it feeds off it.

Supervised by Nathalie Jeudy-KarakoçCPAIEN and Philippe MerleauEF2D History Geography for the ZECO, the twenty or so teachers taking part in this course will be required to :
⏩ Identify the scope and objectives of the IME
⏩ Update their knowledge of current developments in the IME
⏩ Design sessions/sequences/projects to enable pupils :
🔸 learn how to find and read information from different sources
🔸 experiment with different ways of expressing, creating and presenting content
🔸 be aware of the rules of communication
🔸 discover how different media work
