On 16 and 17 May, a grouping of documentalist teachers of the Central and Eastern Europe Zone was held at the Lycée Français de Viennehosted by Anne StrasserIA-IPR EVS of the Académie de Strasbourg, and Philippe MerleauEF2D History Geography.

Library teachers play an essential role in schools. Responsible for the CDI, they manage documentary resources and train pupils in information and the media, encouraging the development of critical thinking and intellectual independence.

The meeting provided an opportunity for enriching discussions on the rules of the profession, the layout of Documentation Centres, getting students involved and implementing cooperative teaching methods, sharing professional practices and reflecting on the challenges facing the profession in a French school abroad in 2024.

This grouping contributes to the ongoing training of documentalist teachers and to the reinforcement of a common culture throughout the ZECO.
