On Wednesday 15 May 2025, the Lycée Français International Simone Veil de Düsseldorf had the honour of hosting the final of the speech contest of the Central and Eastern Europe zone of the AEFE.
Every year, this event, which has become a must in the region, puts the spotlight on public speaking by students from French schools abroad.

Organised in an atmosphere that was both studious and friendly, the competition brought together 56 students from 9 different schools. Each participant had the task of delivering a speech lasting a few minutes on a theme prepared in advance, with the aim of convincing, moving and captivating the audience. Once again this year, the performances revealed the maturity, creativity and commitment of the students. At the end of the day, prizes were awarded to the winners for the form, content and originality of their speeches.
